German tuner Lorinser has announced that they've sold a tuned S-Class sedan to a customer in China. Based off the Mercedes-Benz S70 flagship, it is said to have 810 hp and was sold for €500,000. More importantly, this sale is representative of the expanding Chinese market for tuned premium and luxury cars. While China has already been a huge market for German and other foreign premium brands, it's not at all surprising to see a German tuning firm make such a big sale.

More than likely, this is just the beginning for a demand of tuned cars from a growing number of Chinese professionals who have lots of extra cash to burn.
