81 units will be made marking Lotus brand's 81 victories.
Celebrating 81 F1 victories by Lotus-branded cars, Lotus will build just 81 examples of its F1-inspired limited edition special dubbed the Exige LF1. Based on the Exige S, the car is coated in black and gold as a nod to the classic livery of the Lotus F1 cars from the 1970s and 80s. The special edition model also boasts red accents, special badging, gold wheels staggered 17/18 inches and the Race Pack that adds high-performance brakes, a Dynamic Performance Management system and Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo tires.
The black and gold theme continues inside, where two-tone leather/fabric seats with embroidered headrests and seat backs are joined by an individually numbered carbon-fiber plaque. No changes have been made to the car's mid-mounted 3.5-liter V6, which delivers 345 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. As you may have guessed, as the Exige is no longer sold in the US, the Exige LF1 won't be making it stateside.
