Lucid Air's Configurator Is Like A Luxury Video Game

The online configurator for Lucid's new revolutionary electric sedan is now live.

The Lucid Air is finally here to take on the Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan. Lucid's revolutionary electric sedan finally debuted this week, and while it won't be arriving until 2021, the online configurator is already live allowing you to spend hours building your own dream Lucid Air and browse the available options. You can even freely look around your creation using a 3D view and change the picturesque background to position the car in front of landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge.

The Lucid Air will be available in four flavors: the Air Dream Edition, Air Grand Touring, Air Touring, and Air. Sitting at the top of the range, the Air Dream Edition will be limited production and come with exclusive exterior and interior trim as well as every available option included as standard equipment.

A dual motor setup produces 1,080 hp in the all-wheel-drive Air Dream Edition enabling the electric sedan to hit 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds, while the Air Grand Touring model has 800 hp and the Touring is rated at 620 hp. Technical specifications for the single-motor base Air haven't been confirmed yet.

As standard, the Air Dream Edition is finished in an exclusive Eureka Gold color, but it can also be painted in Stellar White or Infinite Black. Inside, the interior trim features an exclusive aluminum with satin titanium finish and the seats are finished in Nappa full-grain leather in graphite and ceramic with silver trim and Alcantara inserts.

A glass canopy roof is fitted as standard for the Air Dream Edition along with 21-inch forged wheel finished in gloss jet black. Optional 19-inch wheels can also be fitted finished in gloss jet black. Standard packages for the Air Dream Edition include Dream Drive Level 3 that includes technology supporting level 3 autonomous technology and a premium audio package with a 21-speaker system.

A cold weather package with a heat pump, heated wipers, and a heated rear seat can also be optionally installed along with premium all-weather floor mats. With all the options ticked, the Lucid Air Dream Edition has an estimated price of $161,500, including the federal tax credit discount of $7,500. The Air Grand Touring starts at $139,000, while the Air Touring will cost at least $95,000. The entry-level model will start at less than $85,000.
