Situated in South Florida, it's the first of many planned studios for the brand.
When it comes to luxury electric cars, few look as promising as the Lucid Air. It has the chops to go after the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and is quick enough to give a Hellcat a run for its money. But the first thing that people see when trying to buy a brand new car is not what it's like inside, nor how it feels to drive. The dealership itself plays a big role, and Lucid doesn't do its showrooms in a half-assed manner. Its latest retail studio is the first on the east coast and is situated in Miami at Brickell City Center, making it the flagship store in Florida.
Lucid says this store will feature a "digitally-oriented luxury experience" and "augment the physical experience of seeing and touching a Lucid Air, along with the materials used in the interior, with an elevated digital experience." A 4K VR configurator is central to the experience, allowing people to customize their ideal Lucid Air right inside the dealership. For those who prefer to do things from home, a cloud-based "Design Yours" digital configurator is also made available. With the production of the brand's vehicles moving forward, hype around the brand is growing, and a luxury digital experience is key to showing prospective buyers just how cool the marque is.
Following on from the marque's California studios, this Miami branch is just a small part of an aggressive expansion plan that Lucid has set out to fulfill. 20 new locations are set to open throughout North America by the end of 2021, with planned locations including New York City, Boston, the D.C. Metro, Chicago, and a number of additional California locations. Early next year, we should see the next studio open in its planned locale of West Palm Beach. This studio will be situated at Rosemary Square, but with the way things are looking for the brand right now, we wouldn't be surprised to learn of multiple dealers in a single city over the next few years.
