Many haven't heard of the Taiwan-based car manufacturer Luxgen, but it has just unveiled the Neora concept at the 2011 Shanghai Motor Show. The Neora Concept invokes images of a cross between a Chevy Volt and Hyundai Sonata with its attractive design. The exterior characteristics of the concept vehicle include LED headlights, a panoramic glass sunroof and gently sweeping character lines that add to the concept's Volt/Sonata-esque feel.
The power source is supplied by a 48 kWh lithium-ion battery which sends power to a 180 kW, 241-horsepower electric motor. Inside, the cabin is fitted with leather upholstery, wood trim, a head-up display and an infotainment system. Luxgen claims that the Neora can accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 6.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 155 mph. The EV can also travel up to 249 miles on a single charge.
