The BMW 750i and Porsche Panamera Turbo are two of the best German luxury limos on the market, combining the performance of a sports car with the practicality, elegance, and comfort of a premium sedan. This video focuses purely on the performance of these two German heavyweights, which battle it out in a series of quarter-mile drag races to find out which car is quicker. Here's how the performance specs stack up.

The 2020 BMW 750i facelift packs a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic. Tipping the scales at 4,722 pounds, the 750i will accelerate from 0-62 mph in 3.9 seconds before maxing out at 155 mph.

The Porsche Panamera Turbo, on the other hand, has a power advantage, generating 550 hp and 567 lb-ft from a twin-turbo V8. Paired with an eight-speed automatic, this setup enables the Panamera Turbo to sprint from 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds or 3.4 seconds with the Sport Chrono package.

Like the 750i, the Panamera Turbo also has all-wheel drive but is slightly lighter with a curb weight of 4,579 pounds. It's also worth noting that the model tested is the pre-facelift Panamera Turbo, though we already know the facelift model can set record Nurburgring lap times.

In the first race, the BMW 750i momentarily takes the lead, but the Panamera Turbo quickly catches up and annihilates the BMW, completing the quarter-mile in 11.32 seconds at 121.1 mph. The BMW was slightly slower, with a time of 11.95 seconds at 116.6 mph.

For round two, the BMW gets a better start, but it's still no match for the lighter and more powerful Panamera Turbo, which crossed the line in 11.37 seconds at 121.2 seconds, while the BMW completed the same run in 11.98 seconds at 116.5 mph.

The Porsche won both rounds, but the BMW still posted a respectable time. In a bonus round, a modified Audi RS6 Avant joins the race just for fun. The RS6 was tuned by ABT, so it likely has around 700 hp on tap. With this extra muscle, the RS6 beats the BMW and Porsche without breaking a sweat, posting a time of 11.16 seconds at 126.3 mph.
