Revealed package adds some flair to BMW’s least interesting model.
Ever since it was first introduced in concept form andparticularly, after its debut at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month, theBMW 2-Series Active Tourer has failed to excite us very much. With front-wheeldrive, Kia-reminiscent design and the open question of how to classify it(wagon? crossover? mini-minivan? monster hatchback?) wejust couldn't seem to care about the other pressing question – will it eventually be importedto the United States?
Now, BMW has revealed an M Sport package for the new Active Tourer. With more aggressive styling, the Tourer receives an aerodynamic body kit, lowered, sport-tuned suspension, high-gloss black grille and 17-18-inchwheels. The interior gets upgraded with M-branded door plates, sports seatswith new upholstery, anthracite roof-liner and a leather-wrapped steeringwheel. Are we excited now?
