Porsche's Cayenne has been a phenomenal success from the moment it launched in 2002. So it makes a lot of sense for the automaker to scale down that success into a new sporty SUV that'll compete head-on with the likes of the Range Rover Evoque. That'll be the all-new Macan, which will have its official debut next week at Los Angeles. And we have no doubt it's going to be yet another smash hit. Why exactly?
Well, despite looking pretty much like a smaller and sportier Cayenne (which is no bad thing) the top-line turbo model is going to have an eyebrow raising 400 horsepower. This bit of info comes to us today thanks to a leaked spec sheet obtained by a Chinese website and then reposted on a Porsche fan site. Powered by a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6, the Macan Turbo will spit out 400 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque and will tip the scale at 4,292 lbs. The Macan S has 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with 340 hp and 339 lb-ft. There'll also be a Macan S diesel that has 258 hp and 428 lb-ft. Pricing details are not available just yet, but full details will be released online any day now.
