It's fair to say that British manufacturer McLaren produces some stunning-looking supercars, but existing and future owners of McLaren's Super Series can now add a more personal touch with a new range of customization options developed by McLaren Special Operations (MSO). Not only do they enhance the car's cosmetics, but they also bring weight-saving performance advantages too. McLaren says the aftermarket parts are available for customers who purchased through its qualified program and can be fitted at McLaren retailers.

Available for the McLaren 12C, 650S and 675LT, the range includes a carbon fiber louvered front fender inspired by some of the manufacturer's historic race cars such as the 1970 Can-Am-winning McLaren M8D, complete with vented wheel arch liners which provide extra grip to the front axle by removing turbulent air from under the wheel arches. Also available are carbon fiber mirror arms, a rear diffuser which reduces weight and enhances airflow, and a carbon fiber hood finished in visual carbon fiber mirroring the extremely limited-edition McLaren 650S Can-Am model.

In addition, track day enthusiasts will benefit from a new carbon fiber steering wheel fitted in luxurious leather or Alcantara trim and extended carbon fiber gear shift paddles, along with carbon fiber vent bezzels and sill tops to enhance the interior. Carl Whipp, Aftersales Director at McLaren Automotive, commented: "The growing MSO Defined portfolio gives customers an opportunity to further personalize their cars and significantly expands our wider accessories portfolio. We have experienced significant interest in the MSO Defined range on Super Series cars being ordered new and we are now very pleased to be bringing these features to a wider group of customers as a retrofit choice."
