Making the Most of the Russian Flooding

Offbeat

Turning a natural disaster into a moment of humor.

The flooding that's currently haunting Russia has proven to be deadly. So far, 144 people have died in the worst flooding to strike the Krasnodar region in recent history. The flooding in some parts was so strong that even traffic lights were ripped out of the street. So far, thousands of homes are submerged underwater and some 13,000 people have been affected. But not everyone was about to let the bad times get the best of them.

Just check out this wake boarder who felt compelled to not only take advantage of the flooded streets in the city of Irkutsk, but it also seems like he cheered up a city full of people who desperately needed to smile and laugh about something.
