As many cars have a hybrid version these days, the Malibu is no different. However, what the Malibu does offer is full-size family sedan capable of achieving 26/34 mpg city/highway. While it's a mild as opposed to full hybrid, it showcases as a perfect example of how an automaker can adapt a car this size to a mild hybrid configuration. Based off a revised version of the long-wheeled Epsilon platform, the hybrid offers a combination of fuel efficiency, interior space, and build quality.
The only downside is that the hybrid takes depletes some driving dynamics when compared to the conventional engine options. Quality like that has made Toyota, Honda, and Ford take notice.
