In these testing times, a little kindness goes a really long way, and for one Michigan man, a few small acts of kindness have bagged him a brand new car. You reap what you sow they say. Rodney Smith Jr. owns and operates a small business called Raising Men Lawn Care Service. His business puts bread on the table, but when he has some free time, Smith likes to travel the country, mowing the lawns of the less fortunate. In fact, he has traveled to all 50 US states nearly ten times. That is a monumental effort, and hasn't gone completely unnoticed. Ford Motor Company has recently got wind of his acts and has surprised him with a brand new Ford Edge.

"Lost for words. Wow. Ford came out to my lawn in Michigan. After mowing my lawn, they surprised me with a brand new 2020 Ford Edge. Wow. Thank you so much Ford," Smith Jr. said. Ford responded by saying "Your selflessness has not gone unnoticed. We appreciate all that you do for the community and we hope you enjoy your new 2020 Ford Edge."

The best part of this feel-good story is the fact that Smith Jr. currently owns an older model Ford Escape which he has driven for over 330,000 miles. He plans to donate his current car to a family in need.

On his last tour of the country, Smith Jr. focused on mowing the laws of military veterans, including Purple Heart recipients, POWs, and the families of those missing in action. As if that's not enough, Smith Jr. is planning on auctioning off the mowers he uses, with the proceeds going to the various causes he supports. Smith Jr. was also recently featured on Lays Chips packets as part of the Smile With Lays campaign. One wonders if Smith Jr. had a Honda Mean Mower, how many more lawns he could cover? Ford, get ready to gift the man an F-150 Raptor.
