Manhart is one of the tuners that we regularly cover here on CarBuzz. Sometimes, it's because of a special one-off creation like its 777-horsepower M5 CS. Sometimes, it's because the tuner has turned an SUV into a rocketship with 900 hp. On rare occasions, the tuner does something we could never have expected, like boosting the performance of a Tesla. In today's case, it's because we're concerned with the eyesight of those designing its latest creation. Based on the BMW X6 M, Manhart has given the super SUV a new name and loads of power, but that's not where our gripe lies.

The new vehicle has been dubbed the MHX6 700 WB, with the last two letters signifying a widebody kit, and this is where we think Manhart has lost the plot. This 24-piece kit is made entirely of forged carbon fiber as made famous by the Lamborghini Huracan Performante. However, while the Italians chose to scatter the composite material in tasteful areas of their supercar, the people at Manhart are much more blase about breaking the mold. The kidney grilles are surrounded by forged carbon and the front spoiler, fender flares, mirror caps, hood vents, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler attachments are all made from the stuff too.

Making the whole thing look even more extreme is a matte charcoal metallic wrap with gloss black decals breaking up the sea of gray. New 22-inch wheels help break things up a little more, while H&R lowering springs bring the X6 M closer to Earth. Inside, the forged carbon mania continues with a 12-piece set that covers parts of the seats, the dash accents, the center console, the steering wheel, the door card accents, and even the paddle shifters. Fortunately, that unusual alphanumeric name also means more power to get you away from retching children and flabbergasted adults.

Thanks to a remapped ECU and a new exhaust system, the SUV now produces 720 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. To help bring that under control, the tuner can also upgrade the brakes. Pricing on these parts has not been released, but you can bet that you'll be spending big to let everyone know that you have no taste.
