Maserati Adds Aggressive GT Sport Package To Every Model

Big things are on the horizon for Maserati. The Italian automaker is set to reveal a slew of new hybrid and electric models, including the long-anticipated replacement for the Gran Turismo. Maserati even showed off a mid-engined prototype that could be yet another all-new future model. But until all of these new products arrive, Maserati needs to ensure that its current lineup stays relevant.

The company recently announced a new Royale Special Series for each of its three models, offering customers a luxurious and exclusive special edition. The Royal Series will not be offered in North America but Maserati has introduced a GT Sport Package, which will be available on the 2020 Ghibli sedan, Levante SUV, and Quattroporte sedan.

Unlike the Royal Special, which is oriented towards luxury, the GT Sport Package aims to give customers a more aggressive feel and enhanced appearance. The package adds the GranSport front and rear fascia, unique wheels, and a choice of either red, blue, or black painted brake calipers. Ghibli and Quattroporte models also get upgraded High Gloss Piano Black Wood interior trim. This package is purely aesthetic and doesn't improve the performance in any way.

The GT Sport Package will be available on the Ghibli, Ghibli S, or Ghibli S Q4, Levante or Levante S, and the Quattroporte S or Quattroporte S Q4. Sadly, this means none of the V8 trim levels can be paired with the package but customers can still have the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 producing either 345 or 424 horsepower going out to rear- or all-wheel-drive.

Ghibli versions of the GT Sport Package will ride on unique 20-inch Dark Perseo Wheels, Levante models will use 21-inch Machine Polished Helios Wheels, and the Quattroporte gets unique 20-inch Silver Teseo Wheels. Customers can reserve the GT Sport Package at their local dealership with deliveries to start this March.

The package is priced at $3,490 for the Ghibli, Ghibli S, Ghibli S Q4, Levante, Quattroporte S, and Quattroporte S Q4 while the Levante S GT Sport Package is slightly less expensive at $3,190.
