Driving schools are pretty much required now if you make expensive sports cars.
Driving schools have of course been around for a long time. But manufacturer-sponsored schools have been becoming increasingly popular over just the last few years, and Maserati is seated firmly on that particular bandwagon. The Trident has just announced a 2015 driving program to be held at Autodromo in Varano de’ Melegari, Italy. Maserati will be using the full range of vehicles, from the obvious choices of the GranTurismo and GranTurismo MC Stradale to the Quattroporte and Ghibli sedans.
Several different levels of intensity are offered, depending on the skill level of participants, and some are more safety focused while others are outright performance driving. The program also includes the option to tour the Maserati factory in Modena, as the course is near-ish to the factory in northern Italy. The dates for the school range from May through October, although each specific course only has a couple of dates, so now's the time to book. And yes, something like this doesn't come cheap.
