Now that the newly redesigned Maserati Quattroporte has moved up-market as it chases down the likes of the BMW 7 Series and Audi A8, the Italian automaker is looking to double up on its four-door offerings with a new sports sedan positioned against the 5 Series, A6 et al. Expected to revive the Ghibli name, it will likely be based on a shortened version of the new Quattroporte's platform and feature a more svelte coupe-like profile. Maserati's new twin-turbo V6 and V8 will provide power after it launches in Shanghai next month.
