Italian automakers and fashion brands like working together. It only makes sense and the results are usually quite nice. And now, Maserati has just teamed up with Italian fashion label Fendi to produce the specially developed GranCabrio Fendi. It will be unveiled next month at the Frankfurt Auto Show. Designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi, the car is meant to celebrate the two common values the brands share: craftsmanship and tradition.

Its main features include an exclusive exterior color, a redesigned interior, new wheels, and plenty of Fendi badges throughout. The GranCabrio is painted in a three-layered body color called Grigio Fiamma Fendi, which is basically a unique dark grey with an iridescent gold finish surface. Although it's hard to see in these pictures, it probably looks fantastic in person. Stepping inside, there's Pergamena Fendi wood trim that's painted in the iconic FENDI yellow that runs across the width of the dashboard, as well as on the doors and on the top of the gear lever.

The brake calipers and the embroidered yellow trident on the headrests are also given the special FENDI yellow color treatment. Also unique to the interior is Fendi's double F logo that's been stitched on the seats. This logo is also in the center of the car's 19-inch alloy wheels and the rocker panel. Other styling bits include a silver oval plaque with the engraving of the Maserati Trident, the Fendi logo and the five-digit series number (apparently, five is an iconic number for Fendi) located on the dash in front of the passenger seat and on both sides of the black cloth folding roof.

Also added is a black car cover with (you guessed it) the Fendi logo proudly being displayed. Power comes from a 4.7-liter V8 mated to a six-speed shiftable automatic transmission. We'll be catching all of this Maserati and Fendi glory next month from Frankfurt.
