Few countries are better at producing limited edition cars than Italy. In fact, whenever Ferrari introduces a new special edition model, it tends to skyrocket in value overnight. Now it's Maserati's turn to introduce a trio of limited edition models, though unlike Ferrari, these cars don't feature any performance upgrades.

The special edition is called the Edizione Nobile package and it is available on the 2019 model year Ghibli, Levante, and Quattroporte, exclusively on GranLusso models. Just 150 of these cars will be built - 50 for each model - so be sure to get one before they are sold out.

So what is different on the Edizione Nobile package? For starters, each car is coated in a new-for-2019 paint color called dark Blu Nobile tri-coat. Inspired by Chanel's perfume bottle, we had a chance to witness this paint color up close on our Paris to Monte Carlo road trip with Maserati, and it must be seen in person to be truly appreciated. Each of the three Edizione Nobile cars also receives its own unique set of 20-inch wheels with silver brake calipers.

On the interior, a dedicated badge on the center console reminds the driver that their car is just one of 50. Additionally, Edizione Nobile cars receive sports seats (which are traditionally reserved for GranSport models) wrapped in Pieno Fiore natural leather with a black and brown color combination. The front seats are heated and ventilated while the rear seats are just heated.

The Ghibli and Quattroporte feature high-gloss Rovere wood veneer while the Levante uses a high-gloss metal net weave. Maserati revealed the Edizione Nobile package will be available on the entire Maserati lineup excluding the GranTurismo and Levante GTS/Trofeo. This means the only way to get a V8 engine with this package is to opt for the Quattroporte GTS.

This package also includes a bundle of added features including an Alcantara headliner, Bowers and Wilkins audio system, and Level II Autonomy Driver Assistance Package. This valuable safety package includes a highway assist system, surround view camera, lane keep assist, active blind spot assist, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, traffic sign recognition, and pedestrian recognition.

Deliveries will begin this month to showrooms in the US and Canada, so place your orders now.
