Get ready for a whole lot of awesome.
Maserati is very much in the expansion mood lately. Along with a second-gen Quattroporte, there's also the new Ghibli sedan. The GranTurismo coupe and cabrio may be a bit dated, but they're still selling very well. Now, previous rumors indicated that Maserati was working on a Porsche 911/Jaguar F-Type fighter. It would supposedly serve as an entry-level model that could go on sale as early as 2016. Specifics such as its engine(s) and other info have been kept under wraps.
Fortunately, we're just a couple of days away from knowing a lot more. In a recent press release, Maserati stated that it'll unveil the Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition at Geneva. It also mentioned that the "second premiere is the much anticipated concept car that will give a nod to the style of Maseratis of the next 100 years." That, to us, is the clearest indicator to date that Maserati has something very, very special to show us. We'll have full details soon enough.
