Italian sports car manufacturer Maserati will unveil its new GT concept at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. The company's entry-level sports car is planned to take on the Jaguar F-Type and Porsche 911, riding on a shortened platform used by the company's Ghiblli and Quattroporte. The future model, due in 2016, will be called the Gran Sport, and should be priced starting from $109,000, bringing it in below the current Gran Turismo.

Details regarding the concept are still limited and no pictures have been released yet. However, possible engines for the car include the carmaker's twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6, good for 410 horsepower, and the 3.8-liter 530 hp V8. Also in Geneva, Maserati will unveil the final version of the Maserati Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition, produced in collaboration with the Italian fashion designer. The car will be mechanically identical to the regular sedan, but come with a host of interior and exterior upgrades worthy of the designer nameplate.
