The next-generation Mazda2 is coming soon.
Mazda has already teased what it calls the Hazumi concept, a car that’s intended to heavily preview the next-generation Mazda2. It was obviously hard to tell much from that brief image, but today a clearer sneak peak at the concept has crept up online. Set to have its debut in Geneva next week, the Hazumi concept features the Japanese automaker’s latest Kodo styling language instead of the outgoing cat smile theme that nobody really liked.
Based on this latest image alone, we very much like what we’re seeing. We’ll have complete details in just a few days, but if the next Mazda2 looks anything like this, then consider us sold. The only question remains is whether Mazda will even continue selling its cheapest model stateside. After all, the Ford Fiesta has stolen a lot of the Mazda2’s thunder. Complete details to come.
