Mazda has just announced a limited edition MX-5 Roadster Coupe that available for the German market only. Mazda chose the name Karai because it means spicy and literally sums up the "Metal Green Metallic" roadster. The interior of the MX-5 Karai features a pair of Recaro sport seats trimmed in black leather and Alcantara with white stitching, leather steering wheel with white stitching and aluminum pedals. Also included is a limited edition stainless-steel wrist watch that's worth nearly €1,250.

Under the lime green hood, the MX-5 Karai gets its power from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission giving a "nice and comfortable" performance of 160hp. There's also a lowering kit for the suspension. The exterior of the MX-5 is comprised of a glossy black finish for the retractable metal roof, trim accents on the front grille and fog lamp surrounds, exterior mirrors and 17-inch alloy wheels shod in low profile performance tires round out the exterior upgrades. Supply will be limited to only 165 examples of the MX-5 Karai for Germany. Pricing begins at €30,000 (roughly $43,500).
