mbDESIGN Gives Audi R8 Comprehensive Makeover

Tuning

Fighter jet-inspired livery matched by a boost in performance.

Looking strikingly similar to Jon Olsson’s Audi RS6 Avant, mbDESIGN says its latest aftermarket program based on the Audi R8 V8 has in fact received new livery inspired by the F16 Arctic Aggressor fighter jet. A comprehensive makeover also includes a GT coilover kit that sends the R8 a few inches closer to the road, a set of 20-inch alloys and carbon-fiber body parts borrowed from the V10 model, including front splitter, side skirts and side blades.

Other exterior mods include an original R8 GT carbon rear panel and trunk cover, and carbon mirror caps, diffuser, and inserts within the engine bay. Full Alcantara upholstery, Bang & Olufsen sound system and an original GT carbon-fiber package adorns the interior, while the R8’s 4.2-liter V8 has been boosted to 453 hp thanks to a remapped ECU, K&N air filer, and a stainless-steel Capristo exhaust.
