After revealing the 570S at a private event in New York, McLaren is now showcasing its latest pride and joy at the NY Auto Show. And the latest news to emerge from the carmaker is with regards pricing for its new entry-level model. US buyers are going to have to spend close to $185,000, while the sports car carries a price tag of £143,250 in the UK. As we revealed earlier this week, McLaren will also introduce a tamer version of the 570S dubbed the 540C.

It will be unveiled in Shanghai, but unlike the Asia-only 625C, the 540C will be available globally and come priced at just $160,000 (or £126,000 in the UK). Where the 570S comes with 562 hp from its 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8, the 540C will deliver 533 hp, boast a different body kit and cast-aluminum wheels. After these two models, the Sports Series will be expanded with McLaren planning to roll out Spider versions of both, a hardcore Long Tail variant of the 570S, and perhaps a 'GT' version too. That should help it reach its goal of introducing a new model or variant each year until 2023 and beyond.
