McLaren sure knows how to honor not only its greatest production road car of all time, but also one of the greatest cars, in general, ever made. The McLaren F1, though built in extremely limited numbers, has a legacy that will be with us forever, and McLaren likes to honor that. Presenting this new collection of six bespoke 570GTs, courtesy of McLaren Special Operations (MSO). They're being offered exclusively to select buyers in the UK, Germany, and the Netherlands.

This special edition 570GT is inspired by 1997's F1 XP GT "Longtail," a street legal version of the F1 Longtail which came in second at Le Mans that year. Power comes from the familiar 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 with 562 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. Zero to 60 happens in a mere 3.3 seconds. MSO stepped in and added its own unique touches, including a Saddle Tan interior with green accents in the seats and green contrast stitching, and a special plaque located on the center tunnel below the infotainment screen. The exterior paint color, ZP Green, is the same as that certain F1, and also comes with Saddle Tan aero pin striping on the front aero blades, side skirts and rear diffuser.

There's also door striping in the same color that extends from a subtle Union Jack emblem finished in silver-grey. Other packaging options include the GT Upgrade Pack (vehicle lift, rear view camera, volumetric alarm upgrade, Bowers & Wilkins audio system and car cover), and five-spoke lightweight forged wheels in Stealth finish. Each of the six buyers will be asked to fork over an additional 21,000 GBP over the regular 570GT price, for a grand total of 188,567 GBP.
