Last year, McLaren unveiled the 600LT as the automaker's new range-topping Sports Series model. Based on the 570S, the 600LT is the fastest, most powerful and most track-focused Sports Series yet. Inevitably, however, aftermarket tuning specialists are working their magic to make the 600LT even better. We know that Hennessey Performance is working on an 800-hp McLaren 600LT, but now it's Novitec's turn to give the range-topping Sports Series the tuning treatment.

Novitec offers three different performance kits for the 600LT, with the most powerful Performance Stage 2 kit, which also includes a Novitec Race high-performance exhaust system, extracting 88 more horsepower and 68 more lb-ft from the 600LT's twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine. In total, Novitec's modified McLaren 600LT now produces 688 hp at 7,450 rpm and a peak torque of 525 lb-ft at 6,250 rpm.

As a result, the tuned 600LT will rocket from 0-62 mph in just 2.8 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds quicker than the stock car. Top speed has also increased to 207 mph, up from 204 mph in the standard car. As well as offering improved acceleration and a higher top speed, the performance upgrade also quickens throttle response and provides more powerful in-gear acceleration. Complementing the engine tuning is a high-performance stainless exhaust system that's thermally insulated to keep temperatures in the engine bay as low as possible.

Novitec has given the 600LT an aggressive aesthetic makeover using a slew of modifications, including a rear end with an even more sporty look thanks to a new trunk lid, a two-piece carbon airbox at the rear to optimize airflow, and 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels made by Vossen, which are available in 77 different color variants and wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires. Novitec sport springs also lower the two-seater's ride height by around 1.18 inches, further enhancing the driving dynamics. Inside, the cabin features a mix of leather and Alcantara materials in any desired color.
