The 2020 McLaren 620R is a road-going version of the 570S GT4 race car, built to celebrate the success of the company's customer racing program. McLaren only plans to produce 225 examples of the 620R for the entire world, but if you live in select markets, you can order one that's a bit more special than the rest. Today, McLaren released the MSO R Pack for the 620R, which is only available to customers in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Created by McLaren Special Operations, the R Pack enhances the driving experience and the visual appeal of the limited edition track-focused supercar. The pack includes a carbon fiber roof scoop, a titanium exhaust with Nano Black tips, carbon fiber front fender louvers, and a carbon-fiber Interior Pack.

MSO says the roof scoop was inspired by the McLaren F1 Longtail and operates as a fully functional air intake system. This means 620R owners who opted for the R Pack will hear the active air induction sound as they drive along. The scoop can optionally house a camera for the McLaren Track Telemetry system, so owners can record their track sessions and watch them back to analyze their mistakes. In addition to the air intake sound, R Pack owners are treated to the noise of the titanium SuperSports exhaust, which is up to five decibels louder than other Sport Series models.

The R Pack is priced at £25,000 ($32,270) in the UK, making it a significant bargain compared to purchasing all of these features individually. McLaren does not list this package as an option for the US market, but perhaps owners can achieve a similar result with individual options. Pricing for the 620R starts at $328,951.

Even without the R Pack, the 620R is insanely fast courtesy of a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 611 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque. 0-62 mph takes just 2.9 seconds while 124 mph is reached in 8.1 seconds.
