It's ready to take on the Ferrari 458 Speciale.
Just a few days before it’s officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, McLaren has just released official performance specs for its new 650S. The UK-based carmaker claims the 650S will go from 0-124 mph in just 8.4 seconds, and a 0-62 mph time of 3 seconds flat. The Ferrari 458 Speciale, its main target, has claimed performance times of 9.1 seconds and 3 seconds, respectively.
Compared to the 12C, the 650S is a half second faster to 124 mph. The standing quarter mile happens in 10.5 seconds, and top speed is 207 mph. What’s more, the 650S is a full second quicker than the iconic F1 road car to 124 mph, and is 0.6 sec faster over the standing quarter mile. Both Coupe and Spider variants will be available at launch. We’ll have more details and photos in just a few days from the showroom floor of Geneva.
