The McLaren 720S came onto the supercar scene to much applause. McLaren has set a precedent of building cars that wildly outperform their predecessors. The 675LT was an incredibly fast car that could easily keep up with other supercars like the Lamborghini Huracan. Yet we have already seen that the 675LT is no match for the new 720S. So how well would the new 720S do against something slightly older like the Lamborghini Huracan? Luckily, this exact drag race was just performed by Drag Times.

The Huracan has AWD, so the car is able get ahead of the 720S from a dig. After a short time, the McLaren is easily able to pull away using its 4.0-liter twin-turbo 710 hp V8. McLaren has apparently built a world beater with the new 720S.

When the two cars raced from a rolling start, the 720S was able to pull away with very little effort. The Lamborghini Huracan's only advantage is its AWD, and we would wager that the 720S could beat almost any other supercar in this type of drag race. The McLaren 720S boasts exceptional performance, hitting 60 mph in 2.8 seconds, 124 mph in 7.8 seconds, and completing the quarter-mile in 10.3 seconds. As if we needed any confirmation, the 720S is absolutely insane.
