For the record, a LaFerrari was supposed to be included in this competition. But because Ferrari is Ferrari, it declined to participate. Damn shame, really, because it would have been great to see. No worries though, because two other supercar brands accepted the invite, McLaren and Porsche. Presenting one of the showdowns we've been looking forward to seeing for quite some time, the P1 versus the 918 Spyder. Both hypercars actually have quite a lot in common:

Around 900 hp each with V8s placed at mid ship and connected to plug-in hybrid tech, carbon ceramic brakes, active aerodynamics, and lots and lots of carbon fiber construction. Motor Trend managed to arrange a duel at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca with the hope of determining which of these two hybrid hypercars is superior.
