That happens when only 25 examples are made.
It doesn’t take long for McLaren to sell something special. For example, the 675LT coupe and spider were sold out incredibly fast and now a new version of the latter has been revealed. Meet the MSO Carbon Series LT, a carbon fiber-bodied 675LT Spider. Limited to just 25 examples (in addition to the 500 units originally planned) every single one has already been claimed. MSO, as many of you already know, is the supercar company’s bespoke division. At Geneva last March it revealed the carbon fiber-bodied P1.
It was just so awesome that MSO decided to give the 675LT Spider the same treatment. The MSO Carbon Series LT features a gloss finished carbon fiber electrically retractable roof and tonneau, A-pillars, hood and rear deck, side blades, and comes complete with front and rear wings. There’s also a carbon fuel filler flap. The cars are also fitted with the McLaren Track Telemetry pack, featuring three track cameras. Overall, the car has around 40 percent additional carbon fiber parts over the standard 675LT Spider. And no, it’s not possible to retro-fit the gloss carbon fiber body to an existing 675LT Spider.
Power, of course, comes from the familiar twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 with 666 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. Production of this MSO Carbon Series LT gets underway this fall and deliveries are expected before the end of the year.
