McLaren Special Operations Unveils One-Off Carbon-Fiber Clad 650S Project Kilo

Supecar comes kitted out in plenty of the lightweight stuff.

Described as “one of the most personalized, bespoke projects that MSO have undertaken to date,” McLaren’s bespoke division has unveiled a one-off project dubbed the 650S Project Kilo. The supercar coupe comes wearing a host of extensive carbon-fiber add-ons including the roof, rear diffuser and sill panels, as well as the instrument cluster bezel and integrated shift lights.

Body-color aluminum water and oil filler caps receive logos finished in McLaren Orange, a color that also features on the inner door seams. Other unique touches include a 24-carat gold-plated exhaust heat shield, a satin black starter switch, personal dedication plate and a kiwi bird graphic on the engine cover as a reference to New Zealand, the birth place of the UK carmaker’s founder Bruce McLaren.
