Jaguar's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division has announced its latest creation, the new XE SV Project 8. The most powerful, agile and extreme Jaguar ever made, the latest Collector's Edition sports car builds on the success of the Jaguar F-Type Project 7 that debuted back in 2014. Power comes from Jaguar's ubiquitous 5.0-liter supercharged V8 with 600 horsepower on tap, making it the most powerful road legal Jaguar in history.

Official images accompanying the introduction of the car reveal a prototype of the 600-hp four-door supercar testing at the Nurburgring while donning an exclusive camouflage created by SVO Design. "The time is right for SVO to produce the most extreme performance road car in the history of Jaguar.

"The SVO team is possessed by the spirit of performance and committed to creating the most thrilling driving experience imaginable. Our clients worldwide were thrilled by the F-Type Project 7. The new XE SV Project 8 takes aerodynamics and performance engineering to another level – it is conceived for enthusiasts and the most discerning collectors. The price for such an extreme performance sports car available in strictly limited numbers will reflect that." Hand-assembled at SVO's Technical Center in Coventry, England, the XE SV Project 8 will be limited to just 300 cars worldwide. Full specs and details will be revealed on June 28 ahead of its world debut at the 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed on June 30.
