The Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is an incredibly popular car. It's one of our favorite hybrids and is also one of the best-selling, but because big corporations like Toyota never let off the gas, the Japanese company has just unveiled another special edition to further improve sales of the competent SUV. Enter the RAV4 Hybrid Black Edition. While the RAV4 Prime has had similar treatment in the past, this is the first time we're seeing the hybrid version looking so sinister. However, before you get too excited about the monochromatic new look, this special model is currently only available across the pond, and there's no word on whether it will come here.

Of course, with such stunning looks and this country's love for special editions, anything is possible. So let's get down to the details. The car is only available in Galaxy Black and features numerous accents in the same shade. The front grilles, bumper and wheel arch plastics, wing mirror caps, and rear spoiler are all finished in this dark hue, while 19-inch wheels in glossy black complete the look. The only signs of any remaining chrome are in the front, rear, and fender badges, the window trim accents, and the dual-exit tailpipes. Combined with the edgy styling of the RAV4, this could almost pass as a budget Japanese Lamborghini Urus.

The cabin gets a little upgrading too, with Dynamic sports seats with grey contrast stitching tying in to a black headliner and black interior trim accents. So how much does all this darkness cost? Pricing hasn't been announced for the UK market at this time, but we doubt it'll much exceed the current top trim's $36,000-odd asking price with orders opening in October. While nothing is promised at this point, we wouldn't be surprised if this special edition made its way to our shores sometime next year. Would you buy one? If so, let Toyota know. With enough demand, anything is possible.
