AMG isn't going to let BMW and VW have all of the fun.
The 2013 Mercedes A25 AMG has been spotted again and this time it only has some minimal camouflage just outside the AMG headquarters in Germany. For the most part, it looks pretty much like the standard A-Class, but there are some minor differences. The camouflaged front bumper is hiding some large air intakes for the 2.0 liter turbocharged four cylinder engine that will deliver as much as 350hp.
And because this amount of power is way too much for just front-wheel-drive, the A25 AMG will spread its power to all four wheels via a dual-clutch gearbox. We can also see some upgraded brakes and wheels as well as a pair of square shaped exhaust pipes. The side sills are also more pronounced than on the standard car. All this should make the A25 AMG a hard nut to crack for the Audi RS3 Sportback and the Volkswagen Golf R. And since these three cars have been used as benchmarks during testing and development, we guess Mercedes AMG has done their homework in a proper way.
