To quell any suggestions of bias, German tuning house Manhart has followed up its hardcore upgrade of the BMW X6 M with something similarly sinister for the Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe. The acclaimed BMW aftermarket specialist rarely tackles models from the Silver Star, but decided it was time to put its skills to the test with one of the marque's most accomplished models. In stock form, the C63 S delivers 503 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque from its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8.

Thanks to a new set of turbochargers, remapped ECU, an upgraded fuel system, and new exhaust system, the powerplant is now capable of churning out 690 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. As a result of these modifications, top speed has been upped from 180 to 192 mph. The stock C63 S is capable of a 0-62 mph sprint time of just under four seconds. No doubt that has come down a fair bit although the tuner failed to provide a specific time. KW coilover springs were added, dropping the high-performance coupe lower to the tarmac, as were as set of 21-inch wheels wrapped in 255/30 front and 295/25 rear rubber. The only aesthetic changes that appear to have been made are yellow accents on the matte gray body and matching yellow inserts on the wheels.
