AMG E63 Sedan

When you think of Manhart, you think of modified BMWs with absurd amounts of power and attention-grabbing body kits. A few weeks ago, the German tuner cranked up the already-potent M5 CS to 777 horsepower. Manhart's latest aftermarket project is even more powerful, but it's not based on a BMW.

The German tuner recently acquired a Mercedes-AMG E63 S and has wasted no time extracting more power from the German sedan to create the Manhart ER 800. In stock form, AMG's 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 produces 571 hp in the E63 and 612 hp in the E63 S, which is sent to all four wheels through a nine-speed dual-clutch transmission.

That's more than enough power most people will ever need in a luxury sedan, but this hasn't stopped Manhart from tinkering under the hood. By installing larger turbochargers, a new intercooler, a carbon intake, and remapping the ECU, Manhart has increased the output to a monstrous 809 hp and 789 lb-ft of torque. Manhart has also upgraded the exhaust system with sports downpipes featuring 300-cell catalytic converters.

To help the German sedan come to a stop more rapidly, carbon-ceramic discs are fitted measuring 15.9 inches at the front. The air suspension can also be lowered by up to 1.18 inches using coupling rods or a software adjustment.

As for the cosmetic enhancements, the ER 800 is fitted with a black grille and sits on black 21-inch rims wrapped in performance tires measuring 255/30 ZR21 at the front and 295/25 ZR21 at the rear.

Coupled with Manhart's signature black and gold livery, the ER 800 looks suitably menacing. Manhart is selling the 809-hp engine performance kit for $21,108 and the carbon intake for $5,430. The exhaust system costs an extra $9,968, while the downpipes cost $3,400 and the tailpipes will set you back $821. The custom wheels, decals, black grille, and lowered air suspension cost $9,614, $1,172, and $698 respectively. Manhart also offers floor mats for $209 and a Rolls-Royce-style starry night headliner for $2,333.
