Mercedes AMG GT Looking Sweet in Italian Rendering

Italian magazine Quattroruote publishes this breathtaking rendition of the upcoming 911-fighter.

Spy pics and rumors have been piling up regarding the upcoming Mercedes-Benz AMG GT, the company’s purported Porsche 911 opponent which is due for unveiling this July. The twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 will debut at the German Grand Prix, and is expected to deliver almost 500 horsepower. But beyond its promised performance figures, the car has also been dubbed “the most beautiful Mercedes of all time,” a high benchmark for a car that is due to replace the stunning SLS AMG.

While official photos of the car have not been released yet, Quattroroute Magazine’s graphic reproduction gives us an appetizing guess of what the car may look like. It also fits well with the spy pics we showed you earlier. Early viewers of the actual car have compared it to the original Jaguar E-Type. Whatever the final shape of this beauty, expect it to deliver a significant weight loss over the SLS’s 1,695 kg, in addition to supercar-worthy top-speeds of over 186 mph and 0-60 times of less than four seconds. Stay tuned for more details and further pictures prior to its official unveiling this summer.
