The upcoming Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG replacement, the AMG GT,has been an ongoing tease for quite some time now. The car – which is touted bythe company as “the most beautiful car we've ever designed" – isexpected to feature a “true lightweight” design and an aluminum spaceframe. The latest issue of Mercedes’ Driving Performance magazine also promisesa “staggeringly beautiful rear” and a “muscular, never-ending front.”
AMG CEO Tobias Moers went on to say that "the MercedesAMG GT is an all-rounder with extremely sporty aspirations. Yet it'scomfortable and can easily be used for everyday driving." Accordingto previous reports, the model – geared directly at the Porsche 911 – will featurea twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine producing approximately 520 horsepower.
