The F1-inspired Project One hypercar was the undisputed star of this year's Frankfurt Auto Show, which largely overshadowed the launch of the facelifted Mercedes-AMG S-Class coupe and cabriolet. With deliveries set to start in January 2018, Mercedes is currently taking orders for the luxurious S-Class coupe and cabriolet. Those who want to stand out from the crowd may want to consider the lavish limited-edition Mercedes-AMG S63 Yellow Night Edition, which is only available for six-months.
Prices start at 202,121.50 euros ($237,688) in Germany, so you'll need deep pockets. The limited Yellow Night Edition model is finished in either Selenite Grey Magno or Night Black Magno, and the side mirror housings and brake calipers are adorned with a discrete yellow trim. It's about as subtle as you would expect for a car as refined as the S-Class coupe. It also rides on a set of black wheels with seven sets of double spokes. In addition, the S63 Yellow Night Edition features an Aerodynamics package that gives the coupe a more aggressive look, adding a larger front splitter and lip spoiler on the trunk in gloss black or carbon fiber if you opt for the Carbon Fiber Package.
A set of AMG racing stripes also adorn the lower side of the high-performance coupe. Inside, the theme continues with yellow accents on the AMG sports seats, steering wheel, instrument panel, door panels, central console, and floor mats. The cabin is coated with a mix of matte-finished carbon fiber and black piano lacquer. As standard, the S63 Yellow Night Edition also includes the Exclusive Package featuring Nappa leather with contrasting topstitching. Performance remains unchanged. Like the standard Mercedes-AMG S63, the Yellow Night Edition is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 packing 604 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque, allowing the performance coupe to hit 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds.
