But that doesn't matter in the slightest.
When we think of completely unapologetic race cars made for the street solely to satisfy FIA homologation requirements, we tend not to think of anything newer than the Eighties. And although there was some great ones then, the Nineties produced some excellent ones as well. There was the Porsche 911 GT1. One could also make a case for the McLaren F1, and even the Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR endurance racer.
Here we see a CLK GTR in Paris, and there have been very few more obvious examples of a car which was clearly not meant for city traffic. But it doesn't matter, it's an awesome car and we love it.
