Watch and jewelry maker Thomas Sabo and Mercedes-Benz have announced a partnership for the Deutsche Touring Masters (DTM). The driver will be 30 year-old Briton Gary Paffett, the DTM Champion from 2005, and he'll be racing in an AMG C-Class. The English driver has a total of 17 DTM victories out of 70 races, which is more than any other DTM driver. He was a runner-up to the world championship in 2004, 2009, and 2010, and he won the title in 2005.
He also served as a test driver for the McLaren-Mercedes F1 team since 2006. According to Norbert Haug, Vice-President of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport, "we are very pleased to welcome such a renowned new title sponsor as Thomas Sabo to our team and the DTM...and we want to be present in an enthusiastic way on and around the racetrack."
