Before modifying the 2012 Mercedes-Benz E63 V8 BiTurbo, Road Test TV took the car for some quarter mile runs, with the bone stock E63 chalking up 12.06 seconds at 116mph. After RENNtech had their wicked way with the V8 BiTurbo's ECU, the E63 laid down an impressive 11.15 seconds at 126.7mph. And that was in soaking wet conditions with the temperature at around 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Before letting RENNtech loose on the car, the team put the stock 2012 E63 on a Dynojet dynamometer and the car made 555hp and 545lb-ft of torque, which is around 40hp and 40lb-ft more than the factory claims. After a simple ECU tune, the E63 V8 BiTurbo picked up an additional 100hp and 160lb-ft of torque, which equates to a staggering 680hp and 732lb-ft of torque at the crank. The video shows the car at Palm Beach International Raceway in Florida running the quarter mile in 11.15 seconds, which makes it one of, if not, the fastest E63 AMG in the world.

And that's a car that's completely stock running on stock tires with a stock exhaust. With a full complement of tuning products to play with and running in good cool air, this car is going to be staggeringly quick. The project is still ongoing so we look forward to an update when the full set of intended mods is in place.
