Not wanting to miss out on the hybrid craze of the past few years, Mercedes has introduced the hybrid version of its popular M-Class mid-size SUV. Released for the 2010 model year, the ML450 Hybrid consumes almost 50% less fuel than the standard ML550, even though it produces over 90% of the power generated by the V8 model. It has a 335 horsepower and has a combined fuel mileage of 25 mpg. It is also only available in the United States and has a base price of $55,000.

Considering the amount of power the ML 450 Hybrid has and the excellent fuel economy it produces, Mercedes is proving to be a strong player in the ever growing hybrid SUV segment.
