Mercedes-Benz has planned two special edition versions of their M-Class to celebrate the upscale SUV hitting the market in the U.K. Both models come with the German automaker's advanced turbo-diesel BlueTEC engines, boasting both better efficiency and lower emissions. The Special Edition M-Class features slick styling in the form of aluminum-finished running boards, LED daytime running lights, chrome underguards on both the front and rear and a choice of three standard exterior finishes. Optional Diamond White coating runs £815 extra.

The Special Edition ML sits on a set of 19-inch wheels. The SUV comes equipped with Mercedes' Mirror Package, meaning that heated, folding and auto-dimming side mirrors come standard on the special edition. Mercedes-Benz hasn't left the interior untouched, with a full complement of options for even more luxury in the M-Class SUV. Artico leather upholstery comes standard along with brushed aluminum trim highlights and a Nappa leather-wrapped steering wheel. A full-leather wrap runs £1,305 extra and four optional wood finishes are also available and cost between £210-£380.

The M-Class Special Editions both take their motivation in the form of BlueTEC efficient engines. The 250 BlueTEC puts out 204hp and 369lb-ft of torque and has a combined fuel consumption of 44.8mpg and CO2 emissions of 165g/km. The 6-cylinder 350 BlueTEC is rated at 258hp and 457lb-ft of torque, has a combined fuel economy of 39.2mpg and has CO2 emissions of 189g/km. The Mercedes-Benz M-Class Special Editions begin pricing at £43,235 for the 250 BlueTEC and £46,335 with the 350 BlueTEC. Mercedes says that if you order before June, you can save £1,380 on the German's COMAND Online internet connectivity system and pay only £750.
