Mercedes-Benz S-Class Convertible Coming Soon And Its Going To Be An Open-Top Beauty

Spy Shots

Will arrive by the end of the year.

It’s been a while since we last spied the S-Class Cabrio, and these latest spy shots of the luxury convertible show the upcoming model almost completely free of camo undergoing cold weather testing in Sweden. Tipped to arrive before yearend, the flagship droptop will utilize a fabric hood design in order to save weight and space. It will borrow the coupe’s sleek front end and angular back end, as well as its engine lineup and in-car technology.

The S500 will kick off the range, powered by a 450-hp 4.7-liter twin-turbo V8, and will subsequently be joined by the 576-hp S63 AMG and 630-hp S65. Mercedes will also give the S-Cabrio crystal-infused LED headlights and DLRs, as well as its Magic Body Control suspension system.
