Mercedes is trying their hand in the luxury van market. Their first effort concept will definitely catch the eye of many.
Mercedes-Benz is entering the realm of luxury vans, with the new Viano Vision Pearl concept. The six-seater concept is designed to be a 'yacht on wheels' and make traveling an experience. The exterior is finished in a matte, pebble-gray color titled 'magno pearl gray'. A refurnished sporty front end comes complete with integrated LED daytime running lights.
Volker Mornhinweg, Head of Mercedes-Benz Vans elaborated on the new concept van in their press statement: "We want to show what can be done with the Viano. The Viano Vision Pearl is not merely a functional van, but also a stylishly designed living space. We have created a vehicle which combines generous spaciousness with an impressive design. Anybody who attaches importance to stress-free and at the same time stylish travel will find that the Viano Vision Pearl is the ideal companion. The interior design and technical features make the Viano Vision Pearl the S-Class among vans."
The interior is fitted with a clean white/gray leather covering, wood floor, brushed aluminum trim, tinted windows and Bang and Olufsen top of the line sound system tentatively titled the "BeoSound Viano." 1320 watts blast out of 18 handmade, integrated speakers. The Mercedes-Benz Viano Vision Pearl concept car is set to debut this September at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show.
