This will make owning the Mercedes EQS a lot easier.
The luxurious Mercedes EQS arrives in dealerships this fall, and while pricing details haven't been confirmed yet, new adopters will be able to take advantage of a money-saving incentive. To make owning an EQS easier, Mercedes is teaming up with Electrify America to offer two years of free complimentary fast charging at Electrify America charging stations. As Electrify America continues expanding its charging network, EQS owners will have access to over 600 public charging stations across America.
As part of the deal, first owners and lessees of the EQS who have a Mercedes me Charge account will receive 30 minutes of complimentary charging for each session for the first two years.
To make charging even easier, a Plug & Charge function lets EQS owners charge the electric sedan as soon as the charging cable is plugged in without requiring any further authentication. Using a 200-kW charger, the EQS battery takes just 31 minutes to recharge from 10-80 percent and can be charged at a speed of up to 200kW - Electrify America's charging stations support speeds of 150-350 kW.
To encourage more buyers to switch to EVs, Electrify America also offers three-years free charging for owners of the Audi e-tron GT and Volkswagen ID.4. In the future, owners of compatible electric Mercedes EQ and plug-in hybrid models will also be able to use the Mercedes me Charge platform and app to locate Electrify America stations, check charger, and pay for charging sessions.
