We’ve seen its interior, spied it in a funky green and black camo, and poured over a full-size sculpture, now it’s time to check out the all-new twin-turbo V8 that will power the upcoming Mercedes AMG-GT. A new video of the carmaker’s flagship highlights the powerplant, which according to AMG CEO Tobias Moers, “is always the heart of an AMG. This is what AMG stands for, it’s what AMG was built upon.” The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 will generate 510 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque in the AMG-GT.
Drivers of the new car will enjoy a “driving experience switch” with four different drive modes, each with its own unique exhaust note. Set to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October, the Mercedes AMG-GT will go on sale in Germany next March.
