Mercedes-Maybach is putting the Haute Voiture concept, unveiled in May 2022, into production. Only 150 units will be made, and the production car was presented to an exclusive crowd in Dubai after a curated fashion show by Atelier Zuhra.

The Haute Voiture is based on the Mercedes-Maybach S 680, which is already an extremely exclusive vehicle. It's one of a few production cars still equipped with a V12 engine. In this case, it's twin-turbocharged and produces 621 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque.

But that's about all it has in common with the standard car. Mercedes' most specialized customization Manufaktur team will build these unique models in Sindelfingen, Germany. Each vehicle gets a center console badge with its unique number out of 150.

The exuberant exterior, first showcased on the concept, is carried over. It's a two-tone finish with nautical blue on top and rose gold at the bottom. A set of nautical blue monoblock alloys ensures that the rose gold element doesn't overpower the exterior. Maybach also adds surround lighting with animated puddle lamps that display Mercedes-Benz or Mercedes-Maybach patterns.

The same color combination is used inside, with additional crystal and opal white inserts. The leather seats are finished in crystal white, but you'll also find it wrapped around the consoles, doors, and scatter cushions. Linen and mohair are used for the floor mats, while the rose gold is worked in via the champagne flutes.

The interior is also where the car's haute couture inspiration shines brightest. Several interior elements are finished in a fashion-inspired boucle fabric in blue, beige, rose gold and various gold shades.

We're not fashion experts, but this particular fabric seems perfect for a pair of high-end golf shorts.

We've seen this kind of lush interior on several Bentley Mulliner vehicles, but Mercedes-Maybach takes it further by updating the MBUX infotainment system's software. Instead of the usual dull interface background, the Haute Voiture has glitter clouds and a variety of accents in shimmering rose gold.

Upper-echelon clients can't be expected to use the usual avatars reserved for the plebs, so the car gains 12 additional options. These fancier avatars are dressed in a dinner jacket, tailcoat, or evening gown, to name just a few.

The car is delivered with a hand-made gift box with the badge number, a scale version of the vehicle, and a key ring. Another nice standard feature is a high-end car cover with the Maybach and Haute Voiture logo.

Each car will also ship with a bag collection. This collection will also be available in limited numbers to other customers made of the same materials you'll find on the inside of the Haute Voiture. Mercedes-Maybach didn't specify what bags will ship standard with the car, but the images show a small bag finished in the boucle fabric and a soft fur bag.

"The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Haute Voiture heralds a new chapter of high exclusivity for the brand," said Daniel Lescow, head of Mercedes-Maybach. "With a restricted limited run of 150 units, the special edition reflects our brand philosophy to occasionally release aspirational collectibles. Thus, we further strengthen the position of Maybach as the ultimate luxury pioneer and facilitate one-of-a-kind luxury experiences that go beyond our customers' expectations."
